Earth Day Ya'll

When I was a little girl, all I watched was animal planet. That and Disney Channel, but mostly animal planet.  My biggest role model was Steve Irwin aka the crocodile hunter. I absolutely loved him and loved every single thing he stood for.  He was always saying that animals were "gorgeous" and "beautiful" but also dangerous. He told everyone that animals were more afraid of you than you were of them, and that they were to be respected and admired.  When he died, I was devastated. And little 8 year old me, I was afraid that people would blame sting rays and start killing them! (I'm honestly not sure where I got that idea, but I was convinced it was true). I was so upset because I knew Steve Irwin wouldn't want anyone to blame the sting ray, and so I wrote  "Save the Sting Rays"  "Don't Blame the Sting Rays"  and  "Save the Sharks"  (I had to add Sharks on there because everyone hates Sharks but they ha...

THE PERSON I WANT TO BE

So, long time no write, again.  I don't mean to always be flaking on my many many readers and admirers ;) But life is busy sometimes and at the end of the day, sometimes all I want to do is take a good long nap. You probably know what I mean.  What's been going on with me lately? Plus, I'm going to Las Vegas for 6 day's in a week from today, so there are things that I need to take care of to make that happen. Luckily, I got most everything in order. My cap and gown sits on my hope chest ...

High School, General Conference, & more

Why are Disney movies so fabulous? Like really, who writes these genius dialogues and beyond beautiful music? I only ask because I found "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" on Netflix and I'm making Lillian and Kellen watch it. Another good and genius movie is "The Tale of Despereaux" (I don't think this is Disney, though). ANYWAY... HEY! Long time no write (four days?)! I've decided to write every Sunday, so not to over load my many many readers haha. So today seemed like a good day to start that!  For those of you who don't know, today is "General Conference". For us crazy Mormons, it's a day where we listen to the leaders of the church talk to us about all kinds of talks. Sometimes it's about telling us to get our lives together. Often times it's about giving us hope to press forward, and it's, a lot of the time, about giving us instruction to become better and to help the church become better. And today was fantastic ...
