Favorite People

I've been having this itch, where I just wanted to blog, and this has been happening for DAYS. So what is a girl to do when she doesn't know what to write about but wants to write? The answer lies within a teaching tactic that we all wish teachers let us do more: phone a friend.  This friend happened to be one of my favorite people in the world, and she's pretty smart to say the least. She told me I should blog about us. So here I am, sitting on my bed, my window open so I can feel the nice day's breeze (you have to soak these days in, they come very rarely here in the Portland area), listening to Queen (I've been obsessed lately) and writing about Cynjyn and I.  This is Cynjyn and I met Cynjyn when she was born. Partly that's because our parents were good friends (LOL I'm hilarious. You guys should know, if you follow me on social media, that she's my cousin. Her mom is my dad's sister). And partly because we're soul sisters and our sou

LONG TIME NO BLOG POST

Well, hello again! (hello, it's me, I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet...) ANYWAY, It's been a while since I've posted, but I'm trying to be obedient to my goal that I set at Roots tech: post a blog post at least once a month. It seems kinda silly to me, now that I'm actually doing this, because the whole reason I wanted to start a blog was for future generations, friends, family, and everyone who cares to pull inspiration from my life and put it to use in theirs. At least that's the hope. It's silly because I already have a  journal (one that I share on a google docs page with one of my best friends), social media, and my writing to let people get to know me. Why blog?  Well, blogging is more than having a journal that anyone can read, in my eyes. I write many more personal things in my journal that I want my kids to know about me, but as for the whole world, I have a blog. It's kinda like I have my own personal advice c

Seattle

I'm back!! It's been a while, and by letting myself get behind, I have a lot to catch up on. So this will probably be, for the most part, a run down about all the awesome and crazy things that have been happening in my life lately. :)  First things first, my Seattle trip! If anyone who reads this also follows me on social media, then you probably already knew I went to Seattle. If you didn't, well here you go! Every year for my birthday (this tradition started when I was 16) instead of having a party, we go on a trip. Usually with My mom, Tim (step dad), Lilli, Kellen and Trampis (all siblings) and this year and last year, Trampis's birthday has tagged along.  Last year we went to the beach. That was going to be the plan for this year as well until we heard it was supposed to rain all weekend. Which is not super uncommon for the Oregon coast, but we decided to try a different venue. The great city of Seattle!  Trampis and Jess got here on that Friday night
